Dee Daniels Vocal Jazz Workshop

Train your voice with the best. Dee Daniels, one of the great jazz vocalists of our time, will guide students in the world of vocal jazz performance including melodic and rhythmic exploration, developing repertoire, the art of scat, performance presentation, personal grounding techniques, and a crash course in the music business. The workshop includes a professional concert by Dee and the Native Jazz Trio, as well as the opportunity for a video-taped student concert with constructive critique provided afterwards (students will have access to the video upon request).

The Location

The Sitka Fine Arts Camp is located on the historic Sheldon Jackson Campus in the picturesque coastal community of Sitka, Alaska. Dormitories, dining hall, gym, classrooms, and practice areas are all conveniently located on site. The campus is a short walk from downtown Sitka.
